We appreciate your visiting this page and your support to the Kerak Temple and First Lady’s Project.
I am Lady Karen, Wife of Noble A. Paul Pabón, Chief Rabban. We are both retired and busier than ever. We enjoy being together, camping (or is it glamping?), boating, motorcycle trips and volunteering with the Shriners and Shriners Hospital. I like oil painting, sewing, crafting and working on little projects. Between us, we have five adult children and two grandsons.
We have been active in Masonry since 2008.
Now we are dedicated to Kerak Shrine and the Hospitals. We feel we are doing more good for humanity than we each did in our thirty-five years of public service careers.
In 2016 I was looking for a project to support the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Northern California (SHCNC). Struggling to find a personal connection, I was fortunate and blessed to meet a “Shriners Kid” by chance at the Nevada Day Parade. While standing on the street waiting to take pictures of our Shriners in the parade, I met Ashley, a fifteen year old Cerebral Palsy patient who has been treated at SHCNC since birth and continues to travel to Sacramento for checkups. Paul and I, along with Ashley’s mom, truly believe this meeting happened through Divine intervention… Prayers answered and project found!
Please read on to learn more about Cerebral Palsy and the programs at SHCNC.
